Health Insurance Claim

Most of the insurers today provide cashless features as claims get directly settled between the hospital and insurer. So when the insured person or his family approaches doctor for settling the claims all the formalities are done by the hospital itself. Some of the times these formalities are not completed by the hospital so policy holder needs to himself file a claim and steps to file a claim in such a situation are:-

1) All the necessary documents like medical bills, discharge certificate, cash memos, receipts should be readily available with the policy holder.

2) A health insurance claim form needs to be filled out which can be obtained from insurance provider.

3) Make copies of the claim form and along with necessary documents same needs to be send to the insurer for further processing.
